AbroadFX Privacy Policy

AbroadFX is a currency converter developed by DTones. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.

Information used by AbroadFX

• Currency preferences and templates: Your selected currencies, home currency, templates and related app settings are saved on your device so they are available when you reopen the app. The app does not require an account.
• Location: If you choose “Use my location”, AbroadFX requests access to your device’s location to work out the currency used in your current country. This feature is optional. You can change location permission in your device settings. Your chosen currency may be saved as part of your on-device preferences.
• Exchange rates: The app requests exchange rates from Frankfurter. These requests identify the currency or currencies needed to retrieve rates. As with other internet requests, the service may receive technical information such as your IP address.

Advertising and consent

AbroadFX uses Google AdMob to display banner adverts. Google's Mobile Ads SDK may process information such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver, measure and protect adverts. What is used can depend on your device settings, location and privacy choices. Read Google's Mobile Ads data disclosure and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Where applicable, the app presents a consent message with choices about advertising data use. You can revisit the available advertising privacy choices from the app's settings. Device-level advertising controls are available in your device settings.

Storage, retention and deletion

Preferences and cached exchange-rate data stored by AbroadFX remain on your device until changed, cleared by the operating system or removed when you delete the app. AbroadFX does not provide a user account or maintain its own server-side profile of your currency choices. Third-party services may retain information they receive under their own policies.

Sharing

AbroadFX uses Frankfurter for exchange rates and Google AdMob for advertising, as described above. I do not sell your currency preferences or location information.

Audience

AbroadFX is a general-purpose currency converter for a wide audience. It is primarily designed for adults who want to check exchange rates, particularly when travelling.
